You can test if MediaMonkey for Android can connect to MediaMonkey for desktop using UPnP on the Homescreen in MMA. This step is not necessary and can be skipped. This option allows to enable/disable that storage to be Synced to by MediaMonkey. You may only want to Sync to a single storage. This will allow you to select what content from MediaMonkey for desktop should be Synced to MediaMonkey for Android. You can select Playlists, Collections or individual Artists, Genres, etc. The content shown here is controlled by what is being shared by the Media Server in MediaMonkey for desktop. This option will Sync media files from your Android device to MediaMonkey for desktop if it isn't present in your MediaMonkey for desktop Library. This option will delete any media files and Playlist from your Android device that are no longer selected to be Synced to your device, but are still present in the MediaMonkey for desktop Library. This option will also delete any media files and Playlists from your Android device that are not selected to be Synced to your device, and no longer present in your MediaMonkey for desktop Library (like removed Podcast episodes). To run a Wi-Fi Sync tap Sync now on the homescreen in MediaMonkey for Android. Obviously then, nothing is transferred back to MB.If Wi-Fi Sync fails to run please read: Wi-Fi Sync doesn’t work.Wi-Fi Sync can only be initiated from MediaMonkey for Android. This will run a Sync via Wi-Fi using the settings you've setup for Sync. And after playing the 'whole_album1.flac' on Rocketplayer, no data is scrobbled to last.fm, either as individual mp3 tracks or as whole album playcount. However, converting the 'whole_album1.flac' to mp3's and transferring to Rocketplayer does NOT transfer individual mp3 files, just the complete 'whole_album1.flac'. Playing the individual files within an album is scrobbled to last.fm and playcount does increase in both locations. Musicbee can decipher the album and list individual tracks. They are all either flac+cue or ape+cue albums. I have a very small collection of opera music. The 2 way playcount synch on 'flac/ape + cue' albums doesn't seem to survive the "MB -> Rocket Player -> Last.fm -> MB" journey. Thanks again to psychoadept, Steven & Musicbee If I missed anything, please ask & I'll do my best to clarify.

The 4th playlist only synched the first song. Tried synching 4 playlists at various times. Didn't try playing from 'artist' or 'song' lists.Ĥ. On Rocketplayer, I only played songs from within 'playlists'. Haven't tried converting/exporting FLAC files, just. All problems seem to be on Android side of the equation.Ģ. Please note Steven's comments on 2 way synch.

I can't say that 3plays on the phone would count as *exactly* 3plays on Musicbee but it seemed close enough, most of the time.ġ. The playcount on Musicbee would increase for the songs I'd played. After reconnecting the phone to the computer (MTP), I'd open Musicbee and it would auto-sync. I'd play the first 3 or 4 songs repeatedly for approx 30mins so each got 3 or 4 plays.ģ. On the phone, I'd open Rocketplayer and open the playlist of interest. After connecting the phone to the computer as an MTP device, I'd sync a playlist (.m3u) from Musicbee to the phone.Ģ. Internet: Had to set up account with last.fm (all default settings)ġ. Phone: Rocket Player & Simple Last.fm app. Phone: Galaxy S4 (i9505), CM13 custom ROM (Musicbee): Edit/Prefs/Plugins -> All default (or enable 'synch playcount' if not default ) (Musicbee): Edit/Prefs/Devices -> 2 way synch enabled, and export playlists as. I'm not sure how accurate it is but, imho, it's ok for an approximate 2 way synch playcount between Musicbee and your phone.

m3uĪfter a few days (non-rigourous) testing, I've found that 2 way synch does appear to work with Musicbee, Rocketplayer & scrobbling to/with Last.fm. Tl dr: The key seems to be exporting playlists as.
